Christopher Dvorak

Christopher Dvorak, MD is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, specializing in pediatric hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and supportive care. He serves as Chair of the Children's Oncology Group (COG) Cancer Control & Supportive Care Committee and previously chaired the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium's (PBMTC) Supportive Care Strategy Group.

His research focuses on reducing treatment-related morbidity through clinical trials targeting infections, lung injury, and transplant complications. Current work examines pharmacokinetic relationships in conditioning regimens, microbiome interactions in lung injury, and novel cellular therapies. His team has led pivotal phase III trials including COG protocol ACCL1131 (antifungal prophylaxis) and ASCT1221 (conditioning regimens for JMML).
