Christopher D. Geddes

Dr. Christopher D. Geddes is a Professor and Director of the Institute of Fluorescence at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Institute of Physics, with over 300 peer-reviewed publications (h-index: 58) and 100+ patents in fluorescence and plasmonics. His work on Metal-Enhanced Fluorescence (MEF) and Microwave-Accelerated Metal-Enhanced Fluorescence (MAMEF) has led to clinical validations for STI detection and ultra-sensitive pathogen assays.
