Christopher Carlsmith is a Professor in the Department of History at the University of Massachusetts Lowell's College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, specializing in Early Modern Europe and Renaissance Italy. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Virginia (1999, 1995) and a B.A. from Stanford University (1986).
