Christopher Banks-Pillar is a Researcher at the University of Oxford, affiliated with St Cross College and the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine. He holds a BSc (Hons) and MSc, and is currently pursuing a DPhil focused on optimizing activity-based interventions in social prescribing contexts.

His research investigates physical activity-based social prescribing in UK primary care settings, mapping intervention characteristics, delivery models, and participant experiences. This work aims to address biopsychosocial impacts of chronic conditions and inform evidence-based dialogues between social prescribers and service users.
Christopher also contributes to a project examining the relationship between pain and social prescribing. He has teaching experience supporting medical students in Special Study Modules (SSM) and is supervised by Kamal Mahtani, David Nunan, and Stephanie Tierney.
