Christophe Thébaud

Christophe Thébaud is a Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Université Paul Sabatier (France) since 2000. He previously held positions as Lecturer at the School of Biological Sciences, University of East Anglia (UK, 1997-2000) and as a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College London (UK, 1994-1997).

His research focuses on evolutionary ecology, with particular emphasis on island biogeography, speciation mechanisms, and phylogenetic approaches to understanding biodiversity patterns. He combines fieldwork with molecular and population genetic analyses.

He maintains active service in academic governance, serving on CNRS panels and as Deputy-Head of Graduate School 458 'Sciences Ecologiques' at Université Paul Sabatier.
