Christophe Spaenjers is a Professor of Finance and the Michael A. Klump Endowed Chair of Real Estate at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. He is also the Faculty Director of the Michael A. Klump Center for Real Estate. His research focuses on real estate, private equity, art markets, household finance, and financial history, with publications in top-tier journals like American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, and Management Science.
Spaenjers joined Leeds in 2022 after serving as a faculty member at HEC Paris. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Tilburg University (2011) and is an Associate Editor at Management Science. His work has been featured in major media outlets including The Economist, Financial Times, and Wall Street Journal.
