Christophe Binetruy

Christophe Binetruy is a Researcher at Centrale Nantes and an affiliate professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Delaware. His primary research focuses on multi-physics modeling of composite processes, with a strong emphasis on polymer composites and sustainable manufacturing. He joined Centrale Nantes in 2011 to leverage the region’s dynamic environment and advancements in composite processing. Key collaborations include a 10-year partnership with Faurecia for automotive lightweight design and projects with academia and industry leaders in aeronautics, energy, and materials.

Education includes master’s degrees in mechanical and textile engineering from the University of Valenciennes and Lille, followed by a PhD in 1996 and accreditation to supervise research in 2002.
