معرفی
Christophe Binetruy is a Researcher at Centrale Nantes and an affiliate professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Delaware. His primary research focuses on multi-physics modeling of composite processes, with a strong emphasis on polymer composites and sustainable manufacturing. He joined Centrale Nantes in 2011 to leverage the region’s dynamic environment and advancements in composite processing. Key collaborations include a 10-year partnership with Faurecia for automotive lightweight design and projects with academia and industry leaders in aeronautics, energy, and materials.
Education includes master’s degrees in mechanical and textile engineering from the University of Valenciennes and Lille, followed by a PhD in 1996 and accreditation to supervise research in 2002. His research integrates numerical simulation to optimize industrial processes, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. Notable initiatives include global student competitions designing lightweight composite structures and pioneering work on recycling/composite upcycling.
Research themes extend to eco-friendly materials, waste reduction, and biomass utilization. His work bridges academia and industry through cutting-edge facilities at Centrale Nantes and partnerships with the Pays de la Loire region. Active collaborations within the GeM Institute and the University of Delaware strengthen interdisciplinary projects addressing complex engineering challenges.
