معرفی
Christoph Winges is a postdoctoral researcher (Akademischer Rat auf Zeit) in Ulrich Bunke's workgroup at the University of Regensburg's Faculty of Mathematics. His research focuses on algebraic K-theory, homotopy theory, coarse geometry, and manifold topology. He holds a PhD from the University of Münster and has held postdoctoral positions at the Max-Planck-Institute for Mathematics and the University of Bonn.
Education
- PhD in Mathematics, University of Münster (2014)
- Diplom (Master's equivalent), University of Münster (2010)
Research Interests
Winges' work bridges algebraic K-theory with geometric and coarse structures. Key areas include:
- Algebraic K-theory of spaces and stable ∞-categories
- Coarse homology and assembly maps
- Applications of homotopy theory in manifold topology
- Farrell-Jones conjecture
- Binary complexes and non-connective K-theory
Teaching
Recent teaching includes:
- Summer 2025: Lecture on Commutative Algebra
- Winter 2023/24: Assistant for Linear Algebra I
- Summer 2022: Geometry for Gymnasium Teacher Training
Grants & Collaborations
Primary affiliation with the SFB 1085 Higher Invariants research group. Collaborations include projects with Ulrich Bunke, Daniel Kasprowski, and others in geometric topology and algebraic K-theory.
