Christoph Hinker is a Senior Academy Scientist at the Austrian Archaeological Institute (OeAI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. He holds a venia docendi ('Archaeology of the Roman Provinces') from the University of Innsbruck (2015) and has been a lecturer at the Universities of Graz, Innsbruck, and Vienna since 2008. His research focuses on Roman material culture analysis, contextual interpretation of small finds, and Romanization processes in the provinces. Key projects include excavations at Virunum Necropolis (Zollfeld) and Aigeira (Peloponnese).
