Christoph Hartmann

Christoph Hartmann is a Professor of Practice and Lecturer at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the School of Engineering and the Institute of Materials (IMX-GE). He also holds a teaching role in the STI-SMX department at EPFL.

His research and teaching focus on materials science, specifically food science and technology, examining food as a material at molecular and micro-structural levels. His work addresses nutritional properties, organoleptic characteristics, food process engineering principles for taste and texture development, and aspects of environmental sustainability, economy, and public health.
