Christoph Dockweiler is a Professor and holds the Chair of Digital Public Health at the Department of Social Sciences, University of Siegen. He is a leading figure in the development and evaluation of digital technologies for health promotion, prevention, and care, with strong national and international academic affiliations.
His research focuses on the evidence-based and user-oriented design, implementation, and impact assessment of digital health applications. He has contributed significantly to advancing digital public health through leadership roles in key scientific societies, including founding the Digital Public Health section of the German Society for Public Health (DGPH), and active membership in the German Society for Health Telematics (DGG) and the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH).
Dr. Dockweiler advises ministries and international organizations and is a respected keynote speaker in his domain. His interdisciplinary work bridges public health, social sciences, and digital innovation.
He studied Health Communication and Public Health at Bielefeld University, where he also earned his doctorate on the acceptance of telemedicine.
