Christoforos Giannaki

Christoforos Giannaki is a Lecturer in the Department of Life and Health Sciences at the University of Nicosia's School of Sciences and Engineering. He joined the university in 2010 as a part-time lecturer before transitioning to full-time in 2014. His research focuses on exercise physiology, particularly in chronic disease management, sleep disorders, and osteoarthritis prevention. He coordinates the Horizon2020-funded OACTIVE project, aiming to develop personalized interventions for knee osteoarthritis using multi-scale modeling. Additionally, he leads an internally funded study investigating omega fatty acids' effects on aging populations' health. Giannaki holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Thessaly (2010) and has collaborated internationally on projects merging exercise science with nutrition and lifestyle interventions.
