Christodoulos Laspos

Christodoulos Laspos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dentistry at the European University of Cyprus's School of Dentistry. He specializes in orthodontics with a focus on craniofacial disorders, cleft lip and palate treatment, and obstructive sleep apnea management. His academic journey includes a DDS from the University of Athens (1995), an MDS from the University of Tennessee (1999), and advanced training in craniofacial orthodontics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (2000).

Research interests span presurgical orthopedics for cleft patients, mandibular advancement devices for sleep apnea, and reconstructive surgery techniques for craniofacial anomalies. He has published widely on topics including palatal expander repair, cleft-related speech deficiencies, and skeletal asymmetry analysis in noncleft and cleft populations. His work integrates clinical practice with multidisciplinary approaches to address complex craniofacial conditions.

Current initiatives include a forthcoming Springer book on presurgical infant orthopedics and contributions to cleft lip/palate surgical protocols. His research emphasizes translational applications of orthodontic innovations to improve patient outcomes in craniofacial reconstruction and sleep-related disorders.
