Christine Theoret is a Full Professor at the Université de Montréal, affiliated with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Department of Veterinary Biomedicine. Her research focuses on wound healing mechanisms, tissue repair, and equine medicine, particularly the role of the horse as a model for human keloid studies. She holds a DMV from Université de Montréal (1991), MSc (1995), and PhD (2000) from University of Saskatchewan, and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (1997).
- Research Interests: Molecular pathways in wound healing, hypoxia effects, stem cell therapy.
- Key Projects: Cloning equine genes involved in fibrosis, NPWT efficacy in equine wounds, iPSC differentiation for skin regeneration.
Awards: Multiple teaching excellence awards (Zoetis/Carl J. Norden, UdeM Innovations), leadership recognition in veterinary research.
Grants: NSERC, Fonds de recherche du Québec, and international collaborations. Directs the Comparative Veterinary Tissue Healing Lab and co-authored Equine Wound Management (3rd ed.).
