Dr. Christine Stauber is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Georgia State University School of Public Health, where she also directs the Ph.D. program. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from UNC Chapel Hill and has over 20 years of experience in environmental health research.
Her research examines environmental exposures in resource-limited settings, focusing on drinking water contamination impacts on child health and urban environmental hazards. International work includes a Fulbright award to Brazil where she leads study abroad programs. Current projects investigate extreme heat and radon exposure disparities in Atlanta using geospatial analysis.
Research spans water quality interventions, diarrheal disease epidemiology, and urban health metrics. Recent articles demonstrate consistent focus on wastewater surveillance, environmental justice, and global water security. Publications show increasing emphasis on climate-related health impacts and diagnostic innovations.
