Christine St-Pierre is a political analyst and Research Fellow at the Montreal Institute of International Studies (IEIM) of the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). She previously served as a Member of the National Assembly of Quebec for 15 years, representing the riding of Acadie, and held several ministerial positions including Minister for Culture, Communications, and the Status of Women (2007-2012) and Minister for International Relations and La Francophonie (2014-2018).

Ms. St-Pierre's expertise lies in Political Science and International Relations, with a focus on Canadian Politics, Francophonie, Gender Studies, and Cultural Policy. Her research is informed by three decades of journalism covering political landscapes at municipal, provincial, federal, and international levels, including postings in Quebec City, Ottawa, and Washington.

Professional Background
Prior to her academic appointment, Ms. St-Pierre left political life in 2022. She published her memoirs "Ici Christine St-Pierre, de l'école de rang au rang de ministre" (2020), which chronicles her journey from rural schooling to ministerial office. Her career began with a 30-year tenure as a journalist at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Société Radio Canada).
