Christine Sick

Prof. Dr. Christine Sick is a faculty member in the Faculty of Engineering at Saarland University of Applied Sciences. She specializes in Applied Languages, Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), and Multimedia/Distance Learning. As Head of the Multimedia Computer Language Labs at the Alt-Saarbrücken Campus and a key figure in language training for engineering programs, she coordinates courses like Technical English, Business English, and interdisciplinary language modules.

Her research focuses on CALL, Multimedia Language Tools, and Vocational Language Proficiency. She leads the development of language learning software such as the TechnoPlus English Suite, which includes PC-based programs, web units, and vocabulary apps. Her work addresses engineering students' language challenges, emphasizing self-study resources and cross-cultural communication.

Prof. Sick serves on multiple administrative committees, including the Faculty Council and Master’s Admissions Committees for Engineering and Management programs. She collaborates with institutions like the University of Saarland and EUROKEY to enhance technical English training.
