Christine Schwanecke

Christine Schwanecke is a Professor of English Literature and Cultural Studies at the University of Graz's Institute of English Studies. She has held this position since October 2021 and serves as Director of the Center for Cultural Studies since July 2023. Her research focuses on English drama from the early modern period to the present, gender studies, intermediality, literary theory, and narratology. She previously held a W1 Professorship at the University of Mannheim (2016–2021) and a visiting professorship at Justus Liebig University Giessen (2019/2020). She coordinates the PhDnet program at the University of Graz's Center for Cultural Studies.
