Christine Reinle is a Professor of German Regional History and History of the Late Middle Ages at Justus Liebig University Giessen. Previously held positions include Professor of Medieval History at Ruhr University Bochum (2001–2004) and University of Mannheim (2000–2001). Holds a doctorate (1992) and habilitation (1999) from the University of Mannheim. Her research focuses on late medieval imperial governance, feud dynamics, territorial rule, and secret sciences in politics. Awards include the 1993 Prechel-Stiftung Prize. Active in academic organizations such as the Historische Kommission für Hessen and the Hessische Historische Kommission. Published extensively on medieval conflict resolution, feudal structures, and regional historiography.
