Christine R. Harris

Christine R. Harris, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, San Diego. She holds roles as Coeditor-In-Chief of Emotion Review and Chair of the Revelle faculty. Her research focuses on the study of emotion, particularly social emotions like jealousy, envy, embarrassment, and shame, and their impacts on cognition, behavior, and interpersonal relationships. She has also explored evolutionary origins of emotions, methodology in psychological research, and the role of emotion in healthcare decision-making.
