Christine Plaimauer

Christine Plaimauer is a Professor of Educational Sociology at the Upper Austria University of Teacher Education (PH-OÖ), specializing in professionalization, case analysis, and mentoring. She holds a Magister in Social and Economic Sciences and a doctoral degree in the same field. Her academic roles include leading research projects like the Nightingale mentoring initiative and directing the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (ZiLLe) from 2015-2024. She has pioneered work on bullying prevention, cooperative classroom management, and alternative assessment methods. Her research emphasizes reflective practice, teacher professionalization, and educational standards implementation.
