Christine Peters Cucciarre is a Professor of English and Director of Composition at the University of Delaware's College of Arts and Sciences. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Conference on College Composition and Communication, acts as a Policy Analyst for the National Council of Teachers of English, and is Treasurer for the Council of Writing Program Administrators. She facilitates yearly Writing Across the Curriculum Workshops for faculty at UD and has conducted similar workshops at Goucher College and Alvernia University.
Her research focuses on composition pedagogy, university teacher training, and labor issues in higher education. She has published in journals including College English and Composition Studies, and presented her work at conferences such as NCTE, CCCC, and Watson Conferences.
Dr. Cucciarre's notable awards include:
- College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Teaching award (2013)
- University of Delaware Excellence in Teaching award (2016)
She teaches graduate courses including "Advanced Pedagogy in English Studies" and "Composition Theory," mentoring students in composition theory and writing instruction. Her undergraduate teaching encompasses first-year writing, creative writing, rhetoric, and new media writing courses.
