Christine Henseler is a Professor of Spanish and Hispanic Studies at Union College, NY. She earned a B.S. in Journalism/Advertising and dual B.A./M.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of Kansas, followed by a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from Cornell University. Her research focuses on humanities advocacy, education innovation, sustainability, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. She co-founded the Center for Humanities Communication (CHC) and co-leads 4Humanities, initiatives promoting humanities communication and public impact. Henseler teaches courses like 'Arts and Humanities: Don’t Leave College Without Them' and designs student-centered curricula emphasizing creativity and social change. She has authored/co-edited multiple books, including The Entrepreneurial Humanities (2023) and Extraordinary Partnerships (2020). Her work highlights the economic and societal value of the arts/humanities, challenging stigmatized perceptions of their career potential.
