Christine Edwards-Groves

Christine Edwards-Groves is Professor and ARC Fellow at Griffith University's School of Education and Professional Studies with over four decades of experience in education research. Recognized as Australia's 2019 Social Science Research Field Leader in Teaching and Teacher Education, she specializes in literacy practices, dialogic pedagogies, and middle leadership.

Her research employs practice theory and conversation analysis to study classroom interactions, teacher development, and educational change. She co-leads the Australasian Dialogic Education Network and contributes to international pedagogy research networks.

Recent publications explore middle leadership models, relational trust in schools, and practice architectures theory. Her work emphasizes dialogic approaches to literacy, mathematics, and professional learning.

She supervises doctoral research on literacy development, middle leadership, and classroom interaction.
