Christine Cooper

Dr. Christine Cooper is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environment and Agriculture at Curtin University, specializing in vertebrate ecophysiology with a focus on Australian birds and mammals. She holds adjunct roles at institutions like Portland State University and the University of Western Australia. Her research explores thermal, energy, and water balance mechanisms in animals, with field and lab studies on torpor, evaporative water loss, and climate adaptation. Dr. Cooper has supervised numerous postgraduate students and contributed to conservation projects involving endangered species like numbats and cockatoos.
