Christine Berger

Christine Berger is an Assistant Professor of Practice at Western Carolina University's College of Education and Allied Professions. She holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and an MS in clinical mental health counseling from Loyola University Maryland, along with a BA from College of Holy Cross. Previously, she served as a counselor educator at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and Old Dominion University. Licensed in Virginia (LPC) and Maryland (LCPC), she specializes in trauma-focused clinical work and telehealth mental health services for academic populations. Her research emphasizes evidence-based applications of complementary and alternative therapies in mental health treatment.
