Christina Tzeng is Assistant Professor in Psychology at San José State University, directing the Cognition of Language Processing Lab. Her research examines cognitive mechanisms underlying spoken language comprehension, particularly how listener expectations and speaker identity influence perceptual processing.
She investigates perceptual plasticity during speech adaptation, social-cognitive biases in language interpretation, and developmental changes in sound symbolism sensitivity. Publications demonstrate consistent focus on perceptual adaptation mechanisms across diverse linguistic contexts.
Teaching includes undergraduate Cognition and Perception courses, and graduate Psychology of Language. Educational background includes PhD from Emory University and postdoctoral training there.
