Christina Simpson is Adjunct Senior Artist Teacher of Suzuki Violin at the Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University, where she has been a faculty member since August 2015. She brings decades of experience in Suzuki pedagogy and string education, having previously taught at the Lexington Talent Education Association from 1983 to 2013.
Her training in Suzuki pedagogy includes study under prominent teachers such as Donna Wiehe, Kay Collier McLaughlin, Ronda Cole, Margery Aber, Roger Stieg, and Craig Timmerman. She served as past president of the Central Kentucky Suzuki String Teachers’ Association and participated in an international cultural exchange in X'ian, China, in 2011, teaching violin and studying erhu and Tai Chi Quan.
