Christina Rosan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Urban Studies at Temple University, where she has taught since 2009. She is affiliated with the Center for Sustainable Communities and contributes to programs in Global Studies, Master of Public Policy, and Latin American Studies.
- Education: B.A. in History (with Honors) from Williams College, M.C.P. in City Planning (International Development focus) from MIT.
Her research focuses on urban sustainability planning, environmental justice, and metropolitan governance, with a particular interest in integrating green infrastructure into equitable urban development. She explores intersections between climate resiliency, social equity, and policy implementation.
Recent publications and projects, such as the PREACT initiative funded by an NSF Smart and Connected Communities grant, highlight her commitment to community-informed sustainability. Her work employs tools like PurpleAir monitors to address air quality disparities and promote citizen-led policy.
- Awards: Co-edited book Planning Ideas That Matter (2012) won the 2014 International Planning History Society Best Edited Book Award.
