Christiane Schönfeld is Professor of German Studies at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Ireland, where she serves as Head of the Department of German Studies and Chair of W+IGS. Her research focuses on marginalized voices in cultural production, including asylum seekers, sex workers, and exiles, and she has published extensively on film adaptations of German literature and the resurrection of overlooked cultural contributors like Ernst Toller.
