Christiane Beyer

Christiane Beyer is an Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, California State University, Long Beach, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses while conducting research in engineering design, CAD/CAM, and cutting-edge technologies including 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and additive manufacturing. Her work emphasizes the design and manufacture of strong, lightweight structures for product development.

• Education: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Otto von Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany, 2002)

Her research spans applications in automotive, aerospace, consumer products, and bioengineering industries. She has coordinated numerous projects funded by companies, research communities, and public institutions.

Dr. Beyer has received multiple accolades for her teaching and mentorship, including the Most Inspirational Professor award and recognition for guiding award-winning student engineering teams.
