Dr. Kyuil Kim is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Marquette University's College of Engineering. His scholarly work focuses on computer-aided manufacturing, industrial automation, precision engineering, and sculptured surface machining. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1986), M.S. in Mechanical Design and Production Engineering from Seoul National University (1982), and B.S. in the same field from Seoul National University (1980).
Research Highlights:
- Pioneered volumetric error compensation techniques for multi-axis laser machining systems
- Developed mathematical models for automotive thermal comfort optimization
- Contributed to entrepreneurial engineering education frameworks
