Christiane Arndt

Christiane Arndt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Queen's University, specializing in German literature and cultural studies.

Research Focus: Her work explores material culture in literature (gardening/knitting practices in contemporary German literature), medical humanities (visual media in medicine circa 1900), and photography-literature intersections. She investigates how literature responds to societal crises through material practices and examines historical medical visualization techniques.
