Dr. Christian Vogler is a Professor in the Communication Studies program at Gallaudet University and directs the Technology Access Program (TAP). His research focuses on accessible technology for deaf and hard of hearing individuals, including video relay services, captioned telephony, smart home systems, and voice interface accessibility. He collaborates with faculty across disciplines and advocates for consumer-driven accessibility solutions. Vogler has led multiple grants and pioneered projects like Alexa accessibility, caption customization via AI, and sign language recognition systems.
- Education: Worked at University of Pennsylvania, Gallaudet Research Institute, UNICAMP (Brazil), and Institute for Language and Speech Processing (Greece).
