Dr. Christian Scholl is a Lecturer and Head of Management at the Institute for Early Medieval Studies at the University of Münster. He specializes in the history of Jewish-Christian relations, early medieval technology, and urban history of South-Western Germany. His research focuses on transcultural entanglements in early medieval barbarian kingdoms and processes of inclusion/exclusion in religious contexts.

- Medieval Jewish communities and their legal/economic roles
- Technology transfer and warfare in the early Middle Ages

His awards include the 2012 Geschichtspreis from the Museumsgesellschaft Ulm and the Dissertation Award from the University of Trier. He leads the Cluster of Excellence project A3-12 on religious inclusion/exclusion in early medieval kingdoms.
Teaching includes seminars on medieval history, urban history, and source analysis. He is active in scholarly societies like the Mediävistenverband and the Südwestdeutscher Arbeitskreis für Stadtgeschichtsforschung.
