Christian Rüegg is a Professor of Physics at the University of Geneva and serves as Director of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) since April 2020. He holds a PhD in Physics from ETH Zurich (2005) and has held leadership roles at PSI, including Head of the Neutrons and Muons Division and the Research Division. His research focuses on quantum phenomena in magnetism and instrumentation development for neutron scattering.
