Dr. Christian Poll is a researcher affiliated with the University of Hohenheim's Institute of Soil Science and Site Science, specifically within the Department of Soil Biology. His work focuses on microbial processes in soil systems, particularly addressing climate change impacts, organic matter decomposition dynamics, and the fate of agrochemicals in environmental contexts.
He participates in several major research initiatives including DFG-FOR 1695 on agricultural landscapes under climate change, the DFG Research Group investigating microbial regulation of organic matter decomposition at regional scales, and the CAMPOS project examining agrochemical controls in soils. His projects also include studies on the detritusphere's role in biogeochemical interfaces for microbial degradation of pollutants like MCPA and phenanthrene.
Dr. Poll is reachable at christian.poll@uni-hohenheim.de and is stationed at Emil-Wolff-Straße 27 in Stuttgart, Room 032.
