Christian Ostertag

Christian Ostertag is a Professor of Violin at the University of Music Karlsruhe since 2017, previously teaching at the University of Music Trossingen from 2005. Born in 1963 into a musical family, he studied under Walery Gradow, Rainer Kussmaul, and others. He has held orchestral roles including concertmaster of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra and the Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with conductors like Teodor Currentzis and François-Xavier Roth. His performances emphasize profound interpretation of classical and contemporary repertoire.
