Christian Osmena serves as Vice President for Enterprise Planning at Arizona State University (ASU), overseeing strategic planning for the ASU Public Enterprise. He holds dual appointments as Professor of Practice in ASU’s Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions and the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation. His expertise spans public policy, educational finance, and public administration.
Education: Doctor of Education from University of California, Davis; Master of Public Administration from University of Southern California; Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley. Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor at ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
Research interests include public policy, educational leadership, and public budgeting, reflecting his career in California state government, including roles at the California Community Colleges and California Department of Finance. He actively contributes to nonprofit and public boards, including the Arizona Early Childhood Development and Health Board and California College’s Board of Trustees.
Notable fellowships and affiliations include the French-American Foundation’s Young Leaders Program, Atlantic Council’s Millennium Fellowship, and term membership in the Council on Foreign Relations.
