Christian Olivers

Prof. Christian Olivers is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, Department of Experimental and Applied Psychology, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He holds an honorary position at IBBA and is a member of CCMO (Den Haag).

Education: PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Birmingham (2001), focusing on Representations and Resources in Visual Marking.

Research Interests: His work centers on Visual Working Memory, Attention, and Eye Movements. He explores how cognitive processes like attentional selection and memory interact with visual perception, using EEG/MEG and behavioral methods. Recent studies include action planning's impact on memory prioritization and feature-space dynamics in visual cognition.
