معرفی
Prof. Dr. med. Christian Krebs is a Senior Lecturer at the III. Medical Clinic and Polyclinic within the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). His research focuses on the heterogeneity and plasticity of renal T cells, particularly Th17 cells, and identifying novel therapeutic targets for autoimmune kidney diseases. He studied medicine in Göttingen and Hamburg, completed his habilitation in 2014, and trained at UKE.
- Key research areas: Immunology, Autoimmune Diseases, Kidney Pathophysiology
His recent publications (2021–2025) highlight advancements in understanding T cell dynamics, complement signaling, and therapeutic interventions like ustekinumab. Articles span disciplines including immunology, nephrology, and single-cell transcriptomics, with subfields such as Th17 cell plasticity, cytotoxic T cell mechanisms, and γδ T cell roles in kidney inflammation.
- Scientific awards: Adalbert-Buding-Preis, Dr. Martini-Preis, Hans-U.-Zollinger-Forschungspreis
He collaborates on projects like TH17 Cell Plasticity in Renal Autoimmune Diseases (A05) and contributes to clinical translation in kidney immunology. No student advisement or part-time roles are documented.
