معرفی
Christian Klein-Bösing is an Apl. Prof. (Außerplanmäßiger Professor) and Akademischer Oberrat at the University of Münster's Institute for Nuclear Physics. He has been with the university since 2000, progressing from student to faculty member. His research focuses on experimental nuclear and particle physics, particularly relativistic heavy ion physics.
- Habilitation: 2012-2013, University of Münster
- Dissertation: 2001-2005, University of Münster
- Physics Studies: 1995-2000, University of Münster
Prof. Klein-Bösing's research centers on the study of Quark-Gluon Plasma using hard and electromagnetic probes. He is heavily involved in the ALICE and CBM experiments at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. His work focuses on heavy-ion collisions, particle production, and the properties of matter under extreme conditions.
Analysis of his recent publications shows a strong focus on heavy-flavor physics, quarkonium production, and collective phenomena in heavy-ion collisions. His work spans both theoretical interpretations and experimental measurements, with particular emphasis on understanding the properties of the Quark-Gluon Plasma through various probes.
Prof. Klein-Bösing has served in various capacities including on the ALICE Editorial Board since 2019 and the Promotionsausschuss (FB Physik) since 2020. He has been involved in multiple research projects funded by DFG, Federal Ministry of Research, and other organizations.
His current research projects include "Münsters Experimentierlabor Physik" (MExLab Physik) since 2007 and participation in the Research Training Group 2149 on "Strong and Weak Interactions - from Hadrons to Dark Matter". He is also involved in public outreach projects like "Urknall Unterwegs - Quark Matter 2025".
