Christian Johnson

Christian Johnson is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), within the College of Liberal and Fine Arts. She earned her Master of Arts in Communication from UTSA in 2019 and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the same institution in 2016. Her academic journey began at McLennan Community College, where she obtained an Associate of Arts in General Studies in 2015.

Johnson's research focuses on interpersonal communication, family communication, and identity construction. Recent projects analyze topics such as family histories in photography, coffeehouse culture shifts, and gender representation in media.

Her scholarly work spans diverse areas including third-place theory (coffee shops), visual communication, and media representation. These projects reflect interdisciplinary themes in communication studies, cultural analysis, and identity theory. She presented her research on the concept of home in 2018 at the COLFA conference.
