Christian Göbel

Prof. Christian Göbel is a Professor of Contemporary Chinese Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. His research focuses on the political economy of innovation in authoritarian regimes, rural reforms in China, and corruption governance in Taiwan. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Duisburg-Essen (2008) and has held academic positions at institutions including the University of Tübingen and Heidelberg University.
