Christian Büscher

Dr. Christian Büscher is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, specializing in mathematics education with research foci on inclusive mathematics teaching, statistical literacy development, and educational technology applications. He teaches courses including Algorithmic Mathematics and Didactics of Stochastics, while supervising bachelor's and master's theses in primary mathematics education.

His research examines how to enhance statistical understanding through communicative approaches and digital tools, with particular emphasis on inclusive pedagogical strategies. Recent publications explore teacher professional development, student perspectives on data modeling, and curriculum design principles for statistical literacy.

As a member of the AG Schacht research group, he investigates technology-enhanced approaches to mathematics education research and develops instructional methods for diverse classrooms.
