Christiaan Vis is a Research Associate at the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for Mental Health, affiliated with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He recently completed his PhD in Implementation Science with a focus on implementing eMental health services in routine care, awarded on November 3, 2022. His academic qualifications include a Master of Arts (MA) and specialized training in Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Vis's research primarily focuses on implementation science within mental health care, with particular expertise in e-Health interventions, cluster randomized trials, and confirmatory factor analysis. His work addresses critical challenges in translating evidence-based digital mental health interventions into routine care settings, with a strong emphasis on measuring implementation outcomes and developing tailored implementation strategies. His research contributes significantly to several UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to health and well-being.
His publication record demonstrates a strong trajectory in implementation research, with numerous high-impact articles in Implementation Research and Practice, Implementation Science, Journal of Medical Internet Research, and other leading journals. His recent work has centered on psychometric properties of implementation measures, stakeholder engagement models, and effectiveness studies of self-guided implementation toolkits for digital mental health services.
