Christi van Asperen

Prof. dr. Christi van Asperen is a Professor of Clinical Genetics at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), where she works as a Medical Specialist in the Department of Clinical Genetics. She coordinates the NFU Expert Center for Hereditary Tumor Syndromes and its subcenters for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer and Hereditary Breast Cancer at LUMC.

Her research focuses on cancer pathogenesis and therapy, with an emphasis on improving health strategies and quality of care. She contributes to teaching undergraduate and graduate programs in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Leiden University.

Her professional activities include innovation in healthcare systems and multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance cancer treatment efficiency while prioritizing patients' quality of life.
