Christabel L. Rogalin is an Associate Professor of Sociology in the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Purdue University Northwest, with a courtesy appointment in Psychology. She serves as the discipline coordinator for anthropology and sociology on the Westville campus. Her research focuses on identity processes and the micro-foundations of inequality, with publications in top-tier journals like Sociology Compass and Social Psychology Quarterly. She holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.S. in Sociology from the University of Iowa.
Her expertise spans emotions, gender dynamics, intersectionality, and leadership within sociological frameworks. Recent work examines intersections of social location and medicalization in LGBTQ+ contexts, as well as gender's role in public judgment of crime severity.
