Chrissy Hrivnak is an Assistant Professor of Music at Belhaven University, where she has taught since 2012. Her responsibilities include teaching Applied Voice, Acting and Musical Theatre, Musical Theatre Studio, Vocal Fundamentals I & II, and serving as music director for university musicals. She holds memberships in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and Mississippi Music Teachers Association (MMTA). Additionally, she serves as Choir Director at St. Columb’s Episcopal Church in Ridgeland.

Research Focus: Her scholarly work centers on vocal physiology and therapeutic applications, including specialized training in Voice Enhancement of the Healthy Voice/Empowerment for the Troubled Voice from the McClosky Institute. She maintains active collaborations with the UMMC Voice and Swallowing Center, investigating connections between vocal performance and health conditions like Parkinson's disease and trauma responses.
