Chrissann Ruehle

Chrissann Ruehle is a Management Lecturer II at Florida Gulf coast University's Lutgert College of Business. She teaches courses in Organization Theory, Management Principles, and Business Ethics. Prior to FGCU (since 2017), she taught at Sinclair College and the University of Dayton. She holds a D.B.A. from the University of South Florida, an M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a B.S. in Business from Miami University (Ohio).

Her research focuses on AI ethics, governance, and human-AI interaction. Notable contributions include her doctoral dissertation on AI adoption ethics (2020), which won the 'Best Student Authored Case Study' award. She developed an Ethical AI Adoption Framework presented at global conferences like Future Tech: Women in Technology (Singapore) and the University of South Florida Practitioner-Scholar Conference. She completed IBM's Artificial Intelligence Practitioner-Instructor Certification and launched FGCU's first AI certification course in 2021.

Her teaching interests include AI integration in management education, ethical leadership, and organizational behavior. She has received the FGCU Lucas Center's Innovative Assignment Design Grant in 2018 and 2020. Recent work explores AI-driven education tools and frameworks for designing AI ethics courses across disciplines.
